The “Mission Field” Is All Around Us!
January 7th, 2010The Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20 definitely tells us to go take the Good News of Jesus Christ to all nations.
But the “Mission Field” is all around us.
Kairos Journal reminds us of this today in the life story of Dr. Thomas Barnardo.
He originally considered himself called to China to work with the famous missionary of the day, Hudson Taylor.
But when he met a destitute child on the streets of London and found him to be homeless, his life changed direction because, as his friend Lord Shaftesbury reminded him, perhaps the “Mission Field” God had called him to was all around him in the homeless children of that great city.
