Philippians - Grace to You and Peace (Philippians 1:1-2)
Pastor Chuck Huckaby, June 26, 2011Part of the Philippians series, preached at a Sunday Morning service
Here are some application points...
+ Paul’s greeting shows that he fills even the mundane start of a letter with Christian meaning. How do we fill our ordinary lives with Christian meaning?
+Does your life reflect the fact that you are the Slave and Witness of Christ or is living the Christian life something that strikes you as “optional”?
+Do you recognize that you have been set apart by God for His holy use? How does that change your life?
+Are you as recognizable through your faith in Jesus Christ as a Jew is recognizable thanks to their diet and Sabbath observance?
+ God welcomes you into His presence. The curse of Adam is reversed in Jesus Christ. Do you enjoy time with God in corporate and personal worship for what it is? God’s welcoming you back from your banishment? If you really realized you’d been banished but had now been welcomed back into God’s presence, how would that change your life with him?
