Christ Arose! So What?
April 4th, 2010At St. Andrew’s Church we studied the significance of Our Lord’s Resurrection. Too often it is just an afterthought in our understanding of the Good News of God…
Each year at Easter we celebrate the Resurrection of Our Lord.
Unfortunately, we are rarely able to say exactly what the significance of His resurrection is. 1 Corinthians 15:14 tells us “if Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless, and your faith is useless.”
If the resurrection is so central to our faith, why do many of our presentations of God’s Good News consider it almost an “afterthought”… a “Grand Finale” to a really good story, but other than that, seemingly not essential to the rest of the Good News Story!
This sermon begins to discuss the significance of our Lord’s atonement for the Christian Life and Ministry.
